Old Fashioned
2oz whiskey (our founder likes Dickel 12)
.5oz simple syrup *
3 dashes Angostura Aromatic Bitters
orange peel
 
Combine all ingredients except orange peel in a mixing glass. Add ice and stir for 20 seconds. Strain into your favorite rocks glass Over Rocks. Express oils from orange peel over the cocktail by twisting it briskly (you’ll see). Slide the orange peel into the glass and enjoy!
 
*simple syrup: combine raw sugar with equal parts boiling water, stir until dissolved and let cool before use, refrigerate for 1 month.
 
Manhattan (for “Rob Roy” sub Scotch whiskey for Rye)
2oz rye whiskey (we love Old Overholt)
1oz sweet vermouth (Carpano Antica or Punt E Mes)
4 dashes Angostura Aromatic Bitters
2 dashes Luxardo Maraschino liqueur

Combine all ingredients except orange peel in a mixing glass. Add ice and stir for 20 seconds. Strain into your favorite rocks glass Over Rocks. Express oils from orange peel over the cocktail by twisting it briskly (you’ll see). Slide the orange peel into the glass and enjoy!
